A message from ASHHRA Executive Director Catherine Carruth
In light of the latest COVID-19 developments as well as CDC and local recommendations, ASHHRA, as part of the American Hospital Association, will convert the in-person ASHHRA20 annual conference and exposition into a virtual event. The virtual conference will be held on Aug. 24 – 25, and will incorporate many components of the in-person event while allowing ASHHRA members and others to remain onsite fulfilling their essential roles.
There were many factors considered in making this decision, and while we share your disappointment in not being able to physically gather together in Denver this year, our top priority is the health and safety of all attendees, exhibitors, staff and everyone involved in the execution of the conference. At the same time, our members need our support now more than ever, particularly the education, knowledge exchange and networking that the virtual conference will provide, which is why we are pleased to offer this unique opportunity.
That said, I am also excited to formally announce that the 2021 annual conference will be in Denver, April 24 – 27—a few months earlier than our usual meeting dates. More information will be coming soon. In the meantime, mark your calendars and save the date.
Thank you for your leadership, for your support of ASHHRA, and for your work in your own communities. I will be back in touch in the next few weeks with further updates regarding our ongoing planning.
