For Immediate Release
CHICAGO – August 2019 – For over 50 years, the American Society for Health Care Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA), a professional membership group of the American Hospital Association (AHA), has supported human resources professionals in the health care field by providing education, leadership and community. On Friday, Aug. 30, ASHHRA launched their new brand and new website, reflecting a continued commitment to the health care field and the members they serve.
“As we look to the future and how to meet the health care workforce needs of tomorrow, we are building on our legacy and forging an innovative new path forward,” says ASHHRA Executive Director, Catherine Carruth. ASHHRA seeks to accomplish three primary objectives with this update. First, it reestablishes ASHHRA’s commitment to HR leaders in health care. ASHHRA represents the people who care for the people who provide care, a concept mirrored in the new logo: a symbol of health care at the center of three elements that each represent the patients, the caregivers, and those who care for the caregivers – health care HR leaders. Second, the new brand further underscores ASHHRA’s status as a professional membership group of the American Hospital Association, strengthening the organization’s collective voice and impact on health care issues. Finally, the new brand demonstrates ASHHRA’s dedication to innovate with the changing health care landscape.
In conjunction with the new logo is the launch of a new website – the primary portal for members to access timely and critical health care-specific content and resources. The ever-changing health care environment presents new challenges that demand transformational leadership. With their new logo and website, ASHHRA is uniquely positioned to deliver the education, resources and community crucial to the success of today’s health care HR leaders charged with responding to and navigating through these new challenges.
ASHHRA Board President Sarah Fredrickson added, “As ASHHRA moves into a new phase, we remain committed to our core values of community, inclusion and leadership to professionals in health care HR. We will continue to provide opportunities for members to share expertise and experiences, and continue growing together as a community to drive progress and strategic leadership in our organizations. At the same time, we are making space to innovate and collaborate around effective new solutions to meet the workforce needs of today and plan for those of the future. Together, we are shaping the future of the health care workforce.”
