ASHHRA Region 7 Leadership,
Hi all! I hope 2010 finds you all well and motivated. There has been a lot of exciting programs that ASHHRA has made available to you all. Please make sure to check the ASHHRA Web site regularly. I am so glad to be able to represent you all for Region 7, as your Regional Consultant. My role is to support each of you as you lead your chapters to a successful year.
Chapter Leadership Conference dates have been set for June 3rd (all day) and June 4th (half day) in Chicago. ASHHRA will pay for the 1st night’s hotel stay. The conference will take place at the Knickerbocker Hotel in Downtown Chicago. The Regional Consultants have been very busy making certain that this is a very exciting and informative conference and encourage the President-elect to attend this. It is also beneficial for the current President, if they have not attended before. Some topics that will be covered are Chapter Best Practices, the HR Leader Model, Mentoring/Competencies-Self Assessment, and an overview of the Annual Conference.
A free upcoming webinar sponsored by ASHHRA is: Screen for Fit: Pre-score, Pre-Screen: Behavioral Assessment for Healthcare Tool Demo. This demo will take place on March 23, 2010 in 30 minute increments. Another Webinar will be hosted on March 25, 2010. This is a 75 minute Webinar with Quint Studer as the faculty. More details on these Webinars can be found on here.
Our advocacy representative for Region 7 is Felicia Miller, who was the past Regional 7 Consultant. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will get that information to her. As I get more information, I will update our newsletters.
Again, I look forward to visiting each of your chapters this year. Please let me know when your upcoming meetings are, so I can plan to attend.
Thanks again for all you do!
